Well hello, I don't know if anyone is still coming back to see if I have done any updates, It's been a bit of a manic few months with taking, scanning and uploading photos being well down the pecking order in the grand scheme of things. Not too much of an update here, just really to see if I can remember how to do it ! I'll post some more pics in coming days when time allows, Paul.

60007 Toton Jn 60007 departs from Toton on 30/01/2012 with 4Z18 Ratcliffe-Warrington coal empties, 66511 waits at the Stop board for permission to enter the sidings with a load of ballast from Stud Farm.
20142/20227 Wrawby Jn 20227 and 20142 whistle into the sidings at Wrawby Jn, Barnetby on 02/12/11 with an additional 3S13 1218 Doncaster Yd-Northorpe, the 20's reversing in Barnety Yard to access the Brigg line. I was very lucky with both the train turning up, and the sun shining.
20142/20227 Sheffield 20227 and 20142 sit in one of the centre sidings at Sheffield on the morning of 17/11/11 waiting time to depart as 3S12 the 0658 to Wakefield Westgate railhead treatment train.
20142/20227 Sheffield 20142 and 20227 sit in one of the centre sidings at Sheffield on the morning of 17/11/11 seconds away from departure as 3S12 the 0658 to Wakefield Westgate railhead treatment train.
47790 47790 sits on the back of the Northern Belle ECS running from Crewe to Derby on 01/12/2011 prior to working a dining special from Derby to Peterborough.
66552 66552 slows for Wrawby Jn and is pegged towards the Scunthorpe route on 02/12/2011 with an imported coal probably heading for one of the Yorkshire power stations.
47854 at Wrawby Jn 47854 trails into Barnetby Yard on the rear of the 5Z17 1157 ECS ex Lincoln, which was hauled by 55022, as a Lincoln Xmas market special from Scotland.
47739 47739 passes Beeston South Jn on 03/08/2011 working the Colas operated steel empties, 6Z56 0602 Washwood Heath-Boston. The line to the right of the loco is now used as the headshunt from Beeston yard but once served the Beeston Blue circle cement terminal which the terminal building can still be seen in the distance.
56119 at Stanton Gate 56119 in very tidy external condition passes Stanton Gate on the up goods line with 7A12 0900 Oxcroft-Ratcliffe on 24/09/03. This location was awkward when a train was on the up goods as you had to scale the bridge side to get the right angle. The bridge has concrete sides along it where it used to be above the sidings, and a normal lattice type structure above the goods & main lines. Reprocessed.
60099 60099 approaches Radcliffe on Trent station shortly after leaving Rectory Oil terminal on 01/08/11 with 6E82 1216 Rectory-Lindsey empty tanks. Photo John Illingworth.
60011 60011 in DBS red livery passes Attenborough on 30/07/11 with 6M57 0715 Lindsey-Kingsbury loaded oil tanks, this was a last minute dash out for this train when the weather cleared, in hindsight I should have gone to Sawley viaduct to get the sun on the front..
60099 60099 passes under the high level lines at Trent (Long Eaton) on Saturday 30/07/2011 with 6E46 0437 Kingsbury-Lindsey empty oil tanks, my intended location was on the other side of the bridge infront of Trent cottages but the spot was in shadow, a reminder that the days are drawing in!
55022 55022 stands at the British Alcan terminal at North Blyth at dawn on 11/05/2011 waiting to leave with a trip to Lynemouth, photo John Illingworth.

55022 55022 stands at Freemans crossing on 11/05/2011 with a Lynemouth-North Blyth Alumina working, whilst the Deltic was on hire to GBRF. Photo J.Illingworth.
66742 66742 prepares to depart from Derby Chaddesden sidings with the 4Z66 1400 to Wolsingham coal empties. The previous nights 4Z66 1900 Ratcliffe-Wolsingham was 90+ late and couldn't make it all the way back to the Weardale railway so spent the night in Chaddesden.
66742 66742, the former 66841 passes through Toton on 12/07/2011 with 4Z66 1900 Ratcliffe power station-Wolsingham coal empties. This is a Colas working, the loco was previously hired by Colas from a leasing company (who allowed it to be painted in Colas livery), but was recently sold outright to GBRF, they have renumbered it into their 66/7 number series and then hired it back to Colas !.

47501 at Beeston After being held for an EMT Nott'm-London service, 47501 pulls away from Beeston South Jn with Northern Belle ECS on 01/07/2011, the working being 1725 Nottingham-Willesden Brent sidings, 47810 was on the rear.

37602 37602 & 37608 cruise through Toton on 25/06/2011 with 6Z50 Stockton-Sheerness loaded scrap.
20304/20303/20302 20304 & 20303 top-and-tail with 20302 on 6Z21 1422 Derby station Yd-West Ruislip passed Ratcliffe on Soar on 23/06/2011. I didn't do bad to say these passed me near Derby PSB whilst I was doing some gardening with wellies on and hoe in hand! Has to go down as one of my better chases...
55019 Hauling the DPS 'Freedom of Scotland' charter on 25/06/2003, 55019 blasts off from Glenfinnan viaduct on the Mallaig-Fort William leg of the days itineray which start at Fort William at 0505 then took in Mallaig and Oban before returning to the Fort. D9009 is on the rear. I can still feel the midges biting now, but well worth it for a blue Deltic on Glenfinnan viaduct, this being a rare view as no charters ever operate at the right time of day for this angle usually.
D9009 Hauling the DPS 'Freedom of Scotland' charter on 25/06/2003, D9009 comes off the Southern viaduct in the Horseshoe curve between Bridge of Orchy and Tyndrum and starts the climb to County March Summit. This part of the charter started ex Fort William at 0505 then took in Mallaig and Oban before returning to the Fort. 55019 is on the rear. This wasn't my planned composition, I was taking the view in landscape format with the Northern viaduct in the pic at top left, but as the train came off the viaduct the light suddently died from the left and we were lucky to get anything, note the shadow on the ballast at bottom left...
60074 60074 passes Lenton on departure from Nottingham on 03/06/2011 with 6M24 1754 Lindsey-Kingsbury oil tanks.

66620 at Toton With more and more Freightliner 66/6's being moved to Poland, I thought I'd call in at Toton for this one, 66620 on 6L45 Earles-West Thurrock cement on 03/06/2011 passing Toton Jn.
47727 I was hoping for the train to run early and get punted on the slow line but it wasn't to be.. 47727 passes Sutton Bonington on the Up Fast on 01/06/2011 working 6Z57 1314 Boston-Washwood Heath steel.
Manchester Piccadilly Having just alighted from 390014 at Manchester Piccadilly and noting the sun was pretty much in line with the tracks I wondered if there was a glint shot of the Pendolino, as I was eyeing up the options this passenger walked passed on the way to the front coach, perfect timing !
106 Whilst changing trains at Sheffield, a quick look at the tram stop saw no.106 arriving on a service that appears to be heading for 'Halfway' according to the digital display on the front.
47727 47727 trundles through Attenborough on 25/05/11 with 6Z56 Washwood Heath-Boston steel, a location i've done before with the Boston steel, but not from this high in the tree..

70008 70008 pounds through Attenborough on the morning of Easter Saturday 23/04/2011 with the diverted 4L97 0624 Basford Hall-Felixstowe freightliner, it really was moving fast and 1/1000th sec has barely stopped it....

47727 47727 passes Dunkirk on the outskirts of Nottingham with 6Z56 0602 Washwood Heath-Boston 20/04/2011, Nottingham University is on the skyline top-right.
47727 47727 accelerates 6Z56 0602 Washwood Heath-Boston from a signal check due to following a unit that has called at Beeston station, train pictured at a foot crossing between Attenborough & Beeston on 11/04/2011.

60024 A wider view of 60024 leading 66187 into Toton on 6M73 1052 Doncaster Decoy-Toton Yd on 08/04/2011, passing the empty shell of Stapleford and Sandiacre shunt frame box which had all internal equipment and windows ripped out in the preceding two days.
60024 60024 leads 66187 into Toton on 6M73 1052 Doncaster Decoy-Toton Yd on 08/04/2011.
47727 47727 passes "Red Rock" at Colwick on the outskirts of Nottingham on 06/04/2011, the train was running early and the sun was in squiff, as soon as the train passed the light began to improve and once back at the car it was annoyingly sunny, so was the drive all the way home...
60074 60074 passes Barrow upon Trent on the Sheet Stores-Stenson route on 31/03/11 with 6M00 1133 Humber-kingsbury oil tanks.

08682 One of the resident shunters in use at Bombardier's Derby Litchurch Lane works is the former 08682, numbered D3849 and named Lionheart. The loco is seen about to move some LUL stock near the main entrance to the works on 28/03/2011.
66301 After being returned to work with DRS, former Jarvis Fastline operated 66301 approaches Derby with it's second working for DRS, 6Z90 Stockton-Cardiff Tidal scrap on 25/03/2011.
47739 47739 passes Kegworth South of Ratcliffe on Soar with the Colas steel working 6Z57 1314 Boston-Washwood Heath on 23/03/2011.
47739 Apologies for the lack of recent updates, family, work and other pressures are getting more of my attention at the moment: 47739 passes Ratcliffe on Trent with Colas steel working 6Z57 1314 Boston-Washwood Heath, fortunately running early enough for the signaller to run the train on the slow line, as can be seen if it had run as booked on the fast there would be no shot...March 2011.
66730 66730 passes Ratcliffe on Trent with 4M82 Drax-Hotchley Hill loaded gypsum, March 2011. Shooting Raw saved me here as I looked over the bridge and the train was coming under the road bridge, I had the camera set for full sun for 400ISO, only to see after taking the shot I was still on 800ISO after taking a cloudy shot the day before.. Fortunately the highlights weren't too badly blown.
47739 47739 passes Trent Meadows on 14/03/2011 working 6Z56 0602 Washwood Heath-Boston empty Colas steel. I had gone to this spot to do a shot from in an old tree, but alas the new fence is a foot or so higher than the original and at the highest point you still have fence infront of the wheels.
37087 37087, in my opinion the best looking loco in the DRs fleet, departs from Derby with a 1Q69 Derby-Shrewsbury-Newport-Derby test working. This was testing a new mk111 test vehicle destined for use on the NMT. March 2011.
25332 25321 stands alongside Swanwick Jn signalbox with a mixed freight on 26/02/2011 during an EMRPS photo charter.

D8132/D335/D213 D8132 (20132), D335 (40135) & D213 (40013) pose in the shed yard at Barrow Hill on 05/02/11 during an EMRPS photo charter, I fancied something different to the standard shot and this is what I came up with..
20096 20107 20142 BR blue class 20s 20096/20107/20142 stand around/on the turntable at Barrow Hill during an EMRPS photo charter on 05/02/2011.
60039 60039 powers through Barrow Upon Trent with 6E54 1037 Kingsbury-Humber empty oil tanks on 18/01/11, perfect timing having arrived 5 minutes beforehand but with a last second panic as i slipped from my steps and narrowly missed falling on the top of a fence post which probably would have caused a broken rib or two..
60039 60039 passes Stenson on 19/01/11 with 6E54 1037 Kingsbury-Humber empty oil, running approx 50 late causing the sun angle to drop off the front...still better than no shot like the day after where i missed it with it running 40 early!
47727 At the start of 2011, the Colas operated Boston steel started to run 3 times per week with a shorter rake making an out and back trip on the same day. This is my first shot of this train of the year and is taken in very weak light at Attenborough where the flood defence work on this stretch now appears complete. I have taken the shot standing on the newly constructed wall which is around 2 feet high, the blue plastic fence makes the shot somewhat untidy though.. 21/01/11.
