	Two tone green class 47 no.1705 passes Loughborough GCR with a mixed goods, taken during an EMRPS photo charter on 09/03/07.

	D1842 is stood in the sun at Froghall copper works on the Churnet Valley Railway on 020707 during an EMRPS photo charter, this was the first full sun shot of the day.

	During an EMRPS photocharter on 02/07/07, D1842 is seen under the loading bunker at Oakamoor quarry.
	After the photo shoot at Oakamoor the ballast wagons were uncoupled and stabled, the loco then re-coupled to the vans and headed back towards Cheddleton, stopping here at Consall wood for another shot.
	D1842 is seen from the top of a disused factory at froghall on the Churnet Valley Railway on 020707 during an EMRPS photo charter.
	The last shot taken at 8PM in the evening after an excellent photo charter was of D1842 seen on the approach to Cheddleton with a rake of mk1s which the railway needed moving to Cheddleton station after the wagons used during the photo charter had been detached.
	Railfreight red stripe 47142 "TRACTION" passes a foot crossing just east of Trent with a diverted 4L89 0152 Leeds-Felixstowe on the morning of 03/08/96. Freightliners were diverted via Burton,Nottingham, Grantham & Ely due to an engineering possession on the North London line.

	47145 passes Ratcliffe on Soar power station with 1Z14 0807 Derby RTC-Didcot Yd on 31/05/06. 47355 was on the rear.
	47145 passes Didcot North Jn on 07/06/96 with 6M03 0815 Swindon-longbridge car parts vans.
	47150 stands atop four Heavyhaul coal hoppers inside Ratcliffe power station on 22/09/07 during an E-on staff openday, the line it is standing on is the limestone disharge siding and is certainly the 1st and probably last time a 47 has been on this line. I was lucky enough to be able to attend on behalf of a railway magazine and take a few shots. 56006 & 66135 were also on display.
	47219 powers through Loughborough with 4L39 0830 Washwood Heath-Parkeston Quay cartics on 10/12/93. This train ran from Washwood Heath to initially Derby to run round and later to Toton, to turn the consist so the cars would be facing the right way at Parkeston to be driven off the cartics.
	47221 stands under Barlow's trainshed at London St Pancras with 1E03 parcels vans to Leeds on the evening of 21 April 1993.
	47224 passes through Long Eaton and approaches Toton on 09/05/96 with 8E79 1701 Mountsorrel-Doncaster loaded ballast hoppers.
	47228 approaches Stenson Jn with 6M83 1055 Doncaster Belmont-Bescot connectrail trip on 15/10/98.
	47237 & 47145 depart Derby on 18/11/08 with 6V95 1022 Stockton-Cardiff Tidal scrap, 47145 was en-route to Gloucester for assessment on reactivation by Advenza. 66579 heads north with 4E44 Southampton-Leeds liner, I was very lucky that this train had some empty flats in the middle otherwise I would have had no shot of the scrap.
	47237 passes Ratcliffe on Soar with a late running 6Z56 1009 Cardiff Tidal-Hitchin on 27/05/09.
	47245 in West Coast Railway livery arrives at Derby on 29/07/06 working a 1Z36 Tyseley-York steam charter which ran with a diesel due to a steam ban. 20D.
	47245 passes Kegworth between Loughborough & Nottingham on 21/04/07 with 1Z58 0620 Leicester-LLandrindod, 47854 was on the rear.
	47245 passes Attenborough on the rear of 1Z58 0620 Leicester-LLandrindod, after a reversal at Nottingham on 21/04/07, 47854 was now on the front after initally tailing from Leicester to Nottingham.
	47270 departs from Nottingham and passes Eastcroft DMU depot on 23/10/09 with it's first freight working since being re-registered to run on the mainline, 6Z56 0615 Washwood Heath-Boston steel empties for Colas rail.
	On Saturday 06/07/96 47292 in faded Speedlink livery passes Attenborough between Trent & Nottingham with the diverted 4L89 0157 Leeds FLT-Felixstowe FLT, that weekend Freightliner services were diverted via this route off the west Coast due to engineering work.
	47292 shunts the air braked former Gat-Ex stock into a siding at Ruddington on 21/10/07 after arriving with its last working of the day.

	Having nipped out from the Travel Centre on a lunch break, I captured 47299 departing from Nottingham on Saturday 13/06/1992 with the 0946 Great Yarmouth-Sheffield holidaymaker express.
	47300 passes Norton Bridge station on 28/04/93 with 6R97 Warrington-Bescot engineers train.
	47301 heads South in dying light at Colton near York on 08/09/97 with 4G87 1642 Wilton FLT-Doncaster Railport container train.
	47303 passes through Ambergate cutting with 4O31 1215 Leeds FLT-Southampton FLT on Saturday 29/03/97. This location was a long walk from the station & you had to make a treacherous descent of the embankment to get through the trees to find the shot.
	RFD liveried 47310 arrives at Burton with the saturdays only 1L99 0930 New St-Gt Yarmouth holidaymaker express on 05/06/93.
	47331 passes Barrow upon Soar and approaches Mountsorrel bridleway crossing with 7M63 0819 Doncaster-Mountsorrel ballast empties. Mountsorrel is not connected to allow trains direct access from the North, trains have to run to Leicester to run round and then enter the loading point at the South end. This 35mm slide image was ruined during processing by Fuji, the machine which punches the holes in the slide mounts to secure the front of the mount to the rear, somehow punched its holes through the middle of actual film - thanks! The magic of photoshop allows this restored image.

	47345 passes Heamies Farm with a freightliner in the best winter conditions for photography i've ever been out in, 29/12/2000.
	47372 passes Trent South Jn in a snowstorm on 15/02/94 whilst hauling class 45's no.s 45138/142/119 as 7Z40 March-Mossend taking the peaks on a one way trip to the breakers yard at MC Metals.
	BR Blue liveried 47402 passes through Barnetby station with 6D69 Immingham-Welton tanks on 17/03/92.
	47475 has just passed through Long Eaton station and approaches Wilmot Street foot crossing with 2T64 1547 Toton-Derby on 30/08/98, one of the open day shuttles provided for the Toton open weekend.
	47513 "SEVERN" passes through Lichfield Trent Valley with 5M52 0455 Neville Hill-Wembley ECS, this train was used to convey vehicles to/from Wolverton works, calling at Derby Etches Park and Crewe CS. When spotting on Nottingham station as a kid in the early eighties, 47513 passed through to the holding sidings, a guy came up to me a few minutes later and asked me what number the 47 was that just went through. My reply of 47513 SEVERN had him totally confused and arguing that was too many numbers and I didn't know what I was talking about!! On another day some kids gave me hassle as when I replied to their question "what 58 was that", my reply of 58017 was met with derision as "that's not been built yet you ******" which put the seed of doubt into my mind, had I written it down wrong, was it 007?. But my 110 camera had the evidence etched into its film that a sparkling 58017 had indeed worked through..
	Parcels Red liveried 47522 Doncaster Enterprise arrives at Nottingham on 27/04/92 with 5D90 0620 Crewe-Nottingham. These vans would sit in Nottingham platform 1 all day, leaving at tea time to, over the years destinations such as Derby, Nuneaton & Reading. The photo is taken from the top of the NCP car park near the station. 47522 was later repainted in apple green & note that each van is in a different livery.
	47550, once a Scottish monster sits silently rusting in Heanor Haulages' yard at Langley Mill on 08/06/08.
	47580 brings a special ECS from Chaddesden to Derby station on 16/04/10 consisting of 4 Cargo-D mk11 coaches and an ex-works condition 66729 on the rear. The 66 had just been named it Litchurch Lane works and the train was about to work a luncheon special to Melton and back for the invited guests.
	NSE liveried 47583 County of Hertfordshire waits at Waterloo with the 1730 to Yeovil Jn on the evening of 04/01/93.
	47618 arrives at Nottingham on the morning of 01/10/1993 with the last working of 5D95 0915 Derby Etches Park-Nottingham mail ECS. This train would sit in platform 1 at Nottingham until around 1800 before forming a parcels service to the South. This service was withdrawn at the end of the summer timetable.
	47628 stands at Sheffield with 1V64 Newcastle-Plymouth mail vans on 12/08/92.

	47707 is seen inside the carriage shed at Old Oak common during the early 90s after being painted in undercoat ready to receive NSE livery, this was a lucky find after a nedding trip around Old Oak, just a look through a door on the way out up the access ramp and something at the end of the shed caught my eye..
	47709 departs Derby and heads west towards Birmingham with a 5Z47 0959 Barrow Hill-Clapham ECS on Saturday 06th May 2006.

	47712 passes Trent East Jn on 24/07/02 with 5B19 0834 Derby Etches Park-Nottingham ECS during the period when MML reverted to a diagram of loco haulage to allow for a HST refurbishment programme to take place.
	Consecutively numbered 47714 & 47715 double-head the 1515 Waterloo-Exeter on the afternoon of 01/04/92 through Vauxhaul.
	47714 passes Sutton Bonington on the MML between Trent & Loughborough on 19/10/06 with 5B46 0955 Gloucester-Brush works, this was conveying 43196, 43122 & 43126 to Brush for overhaul & fitting with MTU engines, the mk111 coach on the rear acting as a barrier vehicle.
	47727 & 47749 approach Attenborough on 01/03/2010 with Colas Rail's 6Z56 0615 Washwood Heath-Boston empty steel train.
	47727 passes Derby East Midlands Control Centre on 03/04/10 with 4Z48 1200 Chaddesden-Gloucester conveying 20 ex Fastline Freight coal hoppers which are to be stored pending the outcome of the Jarvis company administration.

	RES liveried 47732 pauses at Colwyn Bay with 1D45 1719 Manchester Pic-Holyhead on the evening of 24/03/04. I'd spent the day in North Wales and decided to stop beyond darkness to try and capture 47750 on the Holyhead-Crewe and 47732, it was a gamble, but it paid off.

	47739 waits in Chaddesden yard, Derby with 4Z49 1300 to Gloucester on 03/04/2010 with a train of 21 former Fastline freight coal hoppers being taken away for store following the demise of the Jarvis group.
	47749 & 47739 pass Branston Jn on 23/04/09 with the 6Z48 1305 Burton Yd-Dollands Moor steel.
	47749 & 47727 pass Beeston on 13/05/10 with the 6Z57 1651 Boston-Washwood Heath steel, this was one of the moments where 30 seconds earlier the light was much worse, but 30 seconds later and it was much much better...
	When it was billed as possibly the last Colas steel to run ex Boston for a while, I made a note in the diary that I wanted this shot if the weather played ball, it turned out to be an evening with spanking light so here are 47749 & 47727 passing Lenton South Jn between Nottingham and Beeston with 6Z57 Boston-Washwood Heath loaded steel on the evening of 03rd June 2010.
	With such lovely light I thought it worth a chase from Lenton for 47749 & 47727 with 6Z57 Boston-Washwood Heath loaded steel, here they are for the second time on the evening of 03rd June 2010 passing Wetmore near Burton.
	47750 departs from Llandudno Junction on 21/02/04 with 1K67 1248 Holyhead-Crewe.
	On 04/07/08 47760 hauls 5Z67 0337 Carnforth-Norwich ECS under the M1 at Lockington on the Stenson-Sheet Stores line ready for a charter the following day.
	RES liveried 47773 & tatty large logo liveried 47513 arrive at Derby with 5F43 0412 Manchester Piccadilly-Etches Park empty RES vans on the morning of 16/05/96, seen from the old works footbridge.
	Ex works EWS liveried 47773 The Queen Mother passes Trowell Jn with 6M24 1445 Castleton-Toton CWR train on 12/09/02, the 47 was on test after having reliability mods & a repaint at Toton, the light was on its knees...
	47773 drifts downgrade to Trowell Jn on 28/02/09 with the outward leg of a steam tour that would see Sir Nigel Gresley return over this route later in the day. The route is the Trowell branch between Radford Jn and Trowell Jn, once frequented regularly by loco hauled passenger trains, such as the European but now a mainly loco free zone. This tour was running this way due to engineering at Toton.
	47773 tails Sir Nigel Gresley on a York-Birmingham charter on 28/02/09 passing Trowell moor on its way to traverse the rarely used Lenton North Jn-Lenton South Jn curve, due to engineering at Toton.
	47786 stands at Derby on 09/10/09 with a Leicester-Fort William weekend landcruise, 47826 was on the rear.
	EX-works 47792 ROBIN HOOD passes Attenborough with a trip freight from Toton to Beeston Yard. (Reprocessed)
	47805 prepares to depart Derby with 5Z44 0544 Derby-Sheffield charter ECS on 24/03/07, 47839 was on the rear.
	47805 is about to depart with 5Z44 0544 Derby-Sheffield ECS on 24/03/07, as 47847, 31454 & 33103 stand spare in the "Slum" siding.
	47805 approaches Peartree station on the outskirts of Derby with 1Z83 York-Tonbridge return Pullman charter on 28/04/07, 47839 was on the rear.
	47810 stands in the station yard at Derby on 16/03/07, the train was 4Z26 1700 Crewe LNWR-Doncaster Roberts Road with Fastline Freight container flats off repairs, the train was awaiting a forward driver and didn't depart until midday on the 17th. I have to admit to altering the pic by removing a flashing tail lamp from in the cab window and adding the marker lights.
	47810 passes Sutton Bonnington between Trent and Loughborough on 27/04/07 with 43156 and two barrier coaches as 5Z46 0900 Landore-Brush works.
	47813 passes Wilmorton on the final approach to Derby with a 5Z47 0912 Old Oak-Litchurch Lane HST stock move on 24/07/06. This is my first photo of a Cotswold 47, and was extremely lucky, some top gen passed on by Phil C saying a 47 hauled ECS had passend Wellingborough at 1230 arrived on my phone just as I was leaving the house at 1330 on the way back to work after doubling back from night shift, a quick call to work found it to be passing Kegworth, so after a fast drive to Wilmorton I bumped the car onto the pavement on the bridge just as the 47 came into view. Things do not usually work out like that for me..
	The driver of 47813 applies the power after stopping for a crew change at Derby on 05/02/07, the working was 6Z71 1230 Lindsey OR-Gloucester with a rake of 100 ton oil tanks en-route to Long Marston for storage. This was a lucky shot with the sun emerging from behind a large bank of cloud just as I got to the bridge, 2 minutes before the train appeared.
	47813 with freshly restored to original green 47840 pass Lock Lane crossing on 25/05/07 with 5Z86 1545 Brush-Landore, 43171 was at the rear.
	47813 heads through Spondon on 21/08/07 with a barrier coach running as 5Z44 1410 Derby-Brush works, this was one of the rare occasions in my photting experience where a train coincided with a very brief sunny interval.
	47826 SPRINGBURN stands in the station yard at Derby on Sunday 09/04/06 after working a steam charter from Leicester to Blackpool & return (with 6233) on the day before.
	47826 departs Derby with the 1037 ECS from Derby to Carnforth after a steam special at the weekend. 10/04/06

	47829 in its Police livery passes Hargate between Willington and Burton Upon Trent on 02/03/2004 with a 6Z20 0920 Earles Sidings-Westbury conveying the Tiphook road/rail wagons with one Blue Circle tanker.
	DRS loco 47832 on hire to Colas, passes Branston foot crossing with 6Z48 1305 Burton-Dollands Moor on 08/10/09.
	47839 brings up the rear of a Kings Cross-Buxton tour on 03/02/07, as it arrives at Derby, 47853 was at the front.
	47840 North Star passes Litchurch Plaza, Derby as it accelerates away from the station with 1V39 0640 York-Bristol TM on 10/07/02.
	47840 North Star departs Derby on 06/03/07 with a 5Z47 Derby Works (Litchurch Lane) to Laira stock move conveying overhauled HST vehicles.
	47840 North Star passes Lockington M1 overbridge with 5Z47 1335 Brush works-Derby works via Burton on Trent due to driver route knowledge and to turn the power car, the HST trailer was for overhaul at Litchurch Lane works and the power car was going back to Brush after being turned to face the opposite direction. Ideally the train could have done with running an hour earlier for the light angle, but if it had i'd have still been at work so I can't have everything.. 05/04/07
	47840 North Star pilots 45112 on 5Z47 1530 Gloucester-Derby ECS on 27/05/07 seen arriving at Derby, 47828 was on the rear.
	47840 North Star makes its last mainline run as it pilots 47828 on 1Z47 0810 Derby-Minehead charter on 28/05/07 seen departing Derby, 45112 was on the rear.
	47847 + 47815 storm through Peartree near Derby with 1Z30 0555 Minehead-York on 28/04/07.
	47847 brings up the rear of 1Z47 0618 railtour from Guildford into platform 1 at Nottingham on 28/07/07, the train was lead by 47853 but the sun did not burst out until the main shot had been lost to cloud (as is usual for 47853 for me).
	47847 leads 5Z46 1122 Nottingham-Derby EP ECS as it clears Lenton South Jn, Nottingham on 28/07/07, the train had arrived Nottingham as 1Z47 from Guildford.
	47848 applies the power as it leaves Nottingham on 21/05/92 with the 1237 Nottingham-St Pancras HST replacement service, the train was late leaving at 1320 after having to detach a defective coach.
	On 10th April 2006 47851 departs Derby on the Down Goods with the 0938 ECS from Derby Etches Park to Carnforth after working a special with 57601 on the 08/04/06 and then stabling at Etches Park for the weekend.
	47851 departs Derby on 28/04/07 with 1Z79 0628 Skipton-Bath West Coast Railways charter, 47245 was on the rear. In the background can be seen the new Network Rail East Midlands Control Centre taking shape.
	47851 passes Whitacre Jn on 07/09/03 with 1A27 0919 Wolverhampton-Euston drag.
	47853 slows as it passes Wilmorton and approaches Derby with a Kings Cross-Buxton tour on 03/02/07, 47839 was at the rear.
	47854 accelerates passed Chellaston with 5Z51 0828 Carnforth to Skegness ECS on 02/02/07, 47826 was dead on the rear of the train.
	47971 robin Hood passes Stoke on Trent with 2 x Freightliner flats & a test car en-route to Derby RTC on 28/04/93.
	47972 stands at the buffer stops at London St Pancras after arriving with a HST replacment service on 04/01/93, the train was the 1523 ex Sheffield.
	47972 passes through Attenborough on Sunday 03/01/98 with 6P72 1145 Allington Jn-Sandiacre possession train.
Class 57's
	57003, 37087, 37229, 66429 & 37607 stand on display at DRS's Grestly Lane open day on 10/07/2010.
	57003 passes Chevin, Milford on 31/07/10 with the 1Z20 0530 B'ham International-Sheffield (destined for Carlisle), 37610 was on the rear.
	57004 passes Duffield on Saturday 11/05/04 with 4O31 1435 Leeds FLT-Southampton MT.
	57004 stands ready for action in the North end dock at Derby station on 28/06/07, a Freightliner class 57 is outstationed at Derby until August as a standby loco whilst the Erewash valley blockade takes place. It has already been used to remove an errant wagon from a freightliner train and on route proving runs following floods and storms on 26th June. This was the second time this week I'd made this early morning trip for this shot, the first time was also in sun, but I did not notice the lack of memory card in the camera until a couple of days later, the first and hopefully last time I do this!
	Not having done much with the Northbound Advenza scraps before due to difficult timing for the sun angle in the East Mids so a standard 3/4 view with sun on the front isn't possible, I thought I'd have a go at a scenic broadside. This is 57006 crossing the River Derwent North of Belper with a Cardiff Tidal-Shipley working. The Canada goose flapping its wings was obviously a total fluke, I'd thrown some bread in to attact them into the shot, but didn't notice it was flapping until I looked on the back of the camera when reviewing the shots.
	57006 stands in Elford loop on 12/05/09 with 6V95 Stockton-Cardiff Tidal scrap.

	The WAG Cardiff-Holyhead train approaches Whitchurch behind plain turqouise liveried 57313 on 17/04/09, the train was 20 minutes late and in that time the sun had set into haze, as ever it would have been fine if on time..
	Ex works in WCRC livery, 57601 passes Gailey near Penkridge on 29/02/04 with 1Z78 0722 Bolton-Cardiff footex.
	57601 arrives into Derby platform 6 with 1Z20 0710 Manchester Victoria-Didcot on 26/05/07, 57601 then ran to the rear of the train and steam loco 6233 took the tour forward to Didcot.
	57601 tails on the rear of a Wakefield-Salisbury tour as it passes Trent on 15/09/07, the train took a circuitous route using the ECML as far as Grantham then via Nottingham & Birmingham.
