	Blue 56006 passes Barrow on Trent between Sheet Stores jn & Stenson Jn with a Corby-Washwood Heath car train.
	Stored EWS owned 56006 stands on display with Freightliner 47150 with demonstration coal trains at Ratcliffe power station on 23/09/07 during an e-on staff open day. EWS also offered 58001 but this was declined by e-on due to space constraints.
	During an EMRPS photo charter at Barrow Hill, 56006 is finally turned on the turntable after around 10 minutes of frustration of the turntable sticking, the 56 is flanked by 20001 and 20227.
	56010 passes Clay Cross South Jn on 17/07/98 with 6M13 0839 Tees Yd-Etruria empty steel.
	Red stripe railfreight 56011 arrives at Derby on the up goods line with the 1430 Denby-Willington PS MGR. Note the brake vans at both ends of the train for the guard to ride in, who will have operated the manual crossing gates on the Denby branch. Also note the coal dropped onto the 56 cab. 22/05/92.
	56011 smokes passed Stanton Gate on 23/03/92 with a Toton-Worksop empty MGR.
	Railfreight red stripe 56011 arrives at Willington power station on 22/02/93 with an MGR from Denby (as identified by the brake vans in the consist which the guard travelled in to operate the many crossings on the Denby line).
	56018 passes Little Eaton Jn north of Derby with 6M47 0911 Aldwarke-Wolverhampton ST on 15/08/02.
	56034 passes Stanton Gate north of Toton with 7M63 0819 Doncaster-Mountsorrel ballast empties on 29/10/96.
	Dutch-transrail liveried 56036 passes Derby L&NW Jn and approaches Peartree station with 6V67 1526 Wakefield-Cardiff Tidal steel empties on 24th July 1998. This loco was the first 56 painted in large logo livery and the lower half of the large BR double arrow can be seen showing through the grey towards the rear of the loco.
	"Ghost white" 56041 passes Barnetby station on 08/07/96 with the 1815 Immingham import terminal-Scunthorpe CHP MGR, I was thankful that the 158 was stationary otherwise the 56 could have been blocked out.
	Dutch Transrail 56049 stands in Chaddesden Yard,Derby waiting to leave with 6G40 1647 to Bescot. Whilst at the yard 56049 performed some shunts and actually provided the odd site of an air brake only 56 hauling a rake of vacuum braked clam wagons.
	Dutch Transrail 56049 passes Hall Lane Jn at Barrow Hill with 6T15 0842 Toton-Oxcroft on 11/09/02.
	56051 passes Burton Salmon on 25/02/00 with the 6D95 1100 Selby-Doncaster Belmont enterprise trip.
	56057 stands with a short engineers train at Wansford Nene Valley Railway on 25 March 2006 during an EMRPS photo shoot.
	56057 was then moved into Wansford station. 25 March 2006 - EMRPS photo shoot.
	56057 is seen after arrival at Derby RVEL after being transferred from preservation on the Nene Valley Railway, does the main line beckon once again?. 12/06/07.
	56057 is seen with 56301 and 31459 at Derby RVEL at dawn on 10/07/07.
	The sun has dipped on part of the train but fortunately highlights 56059 as it passes Colton on 08/09/97 with 4L79 1613 Wilton-Felixstowe FLT. This train produced EWS 56's on hire to Freightliner and for a while was booked for a pair in multiple.
	56060 approaches Radcliffe on Trent station on the Nottingham-Grantham route with 1Z57 0646 Watford Jn-Spalding on 02/05/98.
	56065 & 56071 double head 6M57 0729 Lindsey-Kingsbury loaded oil tanks at Branston Jn near Burton on Trent on 15/07/02, this was my third shot of the train as double headed grids were worth chasing!.
	56078 stands in a possession at Newthorpe in South Yorkshire, inbetween snow showerson 22/02/04. Many thanks to the photters who had persuaded me to make the dash from the East Midlands for this stationary train!
	Ex works condition 56078 passes Hargate between Stenson & Burton on Trent with 6M47 0911 Aldwarke-Wolverhampton on 13/10/03.
	56087 passes Stanton Gate on the up main line with the saturdays only 6Z90 0902 Aldwarke-Corby scrap.
	At Derby North Jn on 01/05/97, 56131 stands on the goods line after running round with 6Z92 0610 Lindsey-Derby St Andrews tanks, while 56088 passes on the up main with 6M99 0535 Immingham-Wolves.
	56095 gleams in late Autumn sunshine having very recently emerged from the Toton paintshop as it passes Trent South with 7A15 0841 Daw Mill-Ratcliffe PS mgr on 11/11/98.
	56096 & 56114 double head the 6E39 1554 Llanwern-Tees Yd empty steel passed Little Eaton Jn just north of Derby on 13/07/02.
	On 06/12/06 it was announced that Stanton pipe works was to close in April 2007 with work transferred to European factories, therefore it would appear that the last trains to and from the works have already run. This was the scene on the morning of 28/07/03 when 56100 was awaiting a brake test prior to departing with 6E67 0708 to Tees dock with pipes for export. Unfortunately the train departed prior to the shadows lifting off the bogies. I chased the train to Toton but it passed there in cloud, I opted not to chase to Chevin near Belper due to having been on night shift, but was later told it passed there in rasping light..
	Loadhaul liveried 56102 passes Melton Ross near Barnetby with 6G03 0950 Scunthorpe-Immingham coal empties on 17/09/98.
	56105 passes Barrow Hill on 11/09/02 with 6E08 0658 Wolverhampton steel terminal-Scunthorpe.
	56114 comes off the Up Goods line at Beeston South Jn with 6V31 1607 Immingham-Swansea Burrows on 05/08/98.
	56116 & 56085 double head 6M08 1127 Humber-Kingsbury at Barrow on Trent between Sheet Stores & Stenson, 20/04/01.
	56119 in very tidy external condition passes Stanton Gate on the up goods line with 7A12 0900 Oxcroft-Ratcliffe on 24/09/03. This location was awkward when a train was on the up goods as you had to scale the bridge side to get the right angle. The bridge has concrete sides along it where it used to be above the sidings, and a normal lattice type structure above the goods & main lines.
	56131 stands at the head of a line of 56s at Blyth Cambois shed on 14/04/90. 35mm neg scan.
	56301 makes its debut on the main line hauling a freight with 6Z56 training run from Doncaster, I was late leaving home and couldn't get anywhere better than this view with the light...
	56301 passes Melbourne Jn, Peartree between Derby & Stenson on 25 July 06 with 4O90 1120 Doncaster-Isle of Grain.
	56301 stands outside the RVEL shed at Derby awaiting repairs (arrived 02nd Feb 07 and still there awaiting parts in late July) and 56302 stands inside undergoing a B exam on 17/04/07.
	The last place I ever expected to photograph a Fastline 56 on the Doncaster-Grain containers was on my doorstep at Attenborough. Today however a phone call at 1320 told me that it had indeed been seen in the Newark Castle area, enter flap mode.. The weather was decidedly hit and miss but with having my daughter in tow I decided against trying the M1 embankment at Lockington, so dashed to Attenborough to check the light angle, not good, so I set off again heading for Lockington afterall, I got a mile or so down the road and looking at the sky I changed my mind and went back, some harsh sun was better than none at all! So here is 56301 on 4O90 Doncaster-Grain intermodal at Attenborough on 24/04/08. I wonder if it was sent this way for keeping drivers route knowledge up after the recent road learning ready for the coal contracts??
	56302 passes Trowell Jn north of Toton with a 6Z57 1413 crew training run from Derby to Hexthorpe in April 2006.
	56302 arrives at Derby on 08/03/07 with 4O90 1051 Doncaster-Grain, this was a lucky shot in a lot of ways as the train ran late, allowing the sun to get over and me to finish work and dash round just in time to the station, lucky that that sun was out, and also lucky I managed to run from platform 6 to platform 2 quickly enough when I noticed the signal cleared through platform 3!.
	I had hoped to photograph 4E90 before work but was disappointed to find out it had been diverted into Birch Coppice rather than running through to Doncaster, luckily however after unloading some containers the train continued running as 4Z91 0700 Birch Coppice-Doncaster seen here approaching Derby. I have lightened and trimmed back the shadow on the goods lines to the left.
	56302 flashes passed Little Eaton Jn north of Derby with 4O90 1051 Doncaster-Grain on 20/08/07. As 4O90 was running late I dashed out of work with the intention of a shot from the A6 bridge at Duffield but as I reached the A38 the blue sky had all filled in towards Duffield so I just called in here to watch it pass. The sun then burst out in a blue hole but unfortunately lost its edge just as I could hear the train approaching, therefore this is my first effort at HDR combining 3 images with different exposures to brighten the shot but to retain detail in the sky area. Initial exposure was a pan at 1/125th @ f10, in HDR processing this was combined with RAW file conversions of the same image at one stop below & one above the original.
	56303 double heads with 56301 on 6Z56 1053 Barrow Hill-Rugby in late May 2006, this was 56303's 1st run and is seen leaving Derby and passing Litchurch Plaza.
	56303 heads through Peartree station and across Melboune Jn on 07/02/07 with 4O90 1120 Doncaster-Grain Fastline Freight container service. the train was halted for around 20 minutes at Derby whilst fitters attended from the former FMR workshops, this allowed me to finish work and just beat it here in time, although the sun was in cloud which took more than the edge off the light..It looks better than it was thanks to the wonderful program that is photoshop!
	With frost glistening on the cab roof, 56303 stands outside Derby RVEL workshops on the morning of 25/02/08 awaiting the completion of an exam before returning to use for Fastline Freight.
	56303 hauls 4O90 1051 Doncaster-Grain at Lockington on the Sheet Stores Jn-Stenson Jn freight line on 08/05/08, the train is currently running via Newark, Nottingham and this route to save running round at Doncaster St Catherines and to keep the Jarvis crews route knowledge up in readiness for the start of Fastline coal trains in mid May. The train got held up enroute from the Lincoln area allowing the clouds to build and the sun angle to worsen, I got jobbed by a small cloud and the shot has been saved in the digital darkroom. Many thanks to Clive at work for stopping on for an extra hour & a bit to cover for me waiting for this train!
